Why do we exist? When we talk about our technologies, we describe how we’re redefining freshness and reimagining product protection. Those things in themselves have an incredible effect on people’s lives – a world that smells better, that’s more hygienic, and that’s protected from counterfeiting and tampering.
But our mission goes above and beyond the immediate impact of our technologies: to embrace a journey toward more Mindful Living®. At Polygiene, we’re uniquely placed to help to drive meaningful change in our world, to ensure products last as long as they possibly can before they need to be replaced and ultimately to help businesses and consumers make the change from consumables to durables.
How we work
We’ve been doing this since our inception in 2006 – it’s ingrained in our DNA. We will always challenge ourselves to uphold our values and those of our partners. After all, we are all in it together.
With everything we do, we promise to enable, inspire, and connect people to live more mindful lives. We encourage the extended and shared use of products and spaces, as well as reduced and responsible consumption and product development to the benefit of our future generations.
When Polygiene partners decide to work with us, we ensure the technologies work as they should – and not just in terms of functionality. We take care to use just the right amount of treatment, ensure that we fit our partner’s production method, and aim to apply the technology at the same time as other steps in the production process – all to keep water and energy usage to a minimum.
Generally a very low dosage of Polygiene’s technologies is needed, most often added during the production process.

The simple answer is: because it’s the right thing to do but there are other factors influencing our mission. We are Swedish and driven by our Scandinavian ethos of adding value and meaning with responsible technologies and services that empower brands. By being in it together, we become a true partner to brands and their end-users to make a difference in people’s lives and the world.
We work with you to create measurable results for United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals, for example:
Goal 3:better health & well-being by reducing the need for harsh chemicals, antibiotics and medical intervention.Goal 6:more clean water & sanitation by reducing water usage, pollution as well as post-consumer, food and chemical waste.Goal 12:more responsible consumption & production by reducing the need for new products and resources.Goal 13.3:improve awareness, education and capacity on climate change mitigation
We’re a small company but with a global reach. Our team is at the heart of our mission toward more Mindful Living® – find out more about the people that drive Polygiene.

Safety and sustainability are our top priority. That’s why our technologies always get the hardest-to-achieve certifications.
Our technologies have been independently tested to ISO standards. BioMaster™ has been shown to inhibit the growth of a range of bacteria including MRSA, VRE and Acinetobacter baumannii while ViralOff™ has been shown to deliver a 99% reduction of selected viruses (within two hours.) We can also arrange for independent testing for you and give you free technical and marketing support. Everything we do is environmentally conscious too. We’re accredited by bluesign, which promotes consumer safety, low impact manufacturing and responsible use of resources; Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport which supports responsible manufacturing and supply chains; and we have REACH compliance, the EU’s chemicals legislation.
