Biomaster has joined forces with a UK manufacturer of specialist litter and recycling bins to produce a super-hygienic waste disposal unit for use in environments where cleanliness is paramount.??The award-winning Wiltshire company Leafield Environmental is at the forefront of recyclable manufacturing and has worked with a number of businesses to develop solutions to recycle old materials into new products.??The company’s aim was set to develop a range of bins to meet the growing demand for clean and efficient food waste collection in the food and healthcare industries, including washrooms, kitchens, hospitals, surgeries or food halls. The result is SteriBin, a unique, easy to clean, pedal operated recycling bin with a ‘no touch lid’.
SteriBin is perfect for managing food waste because the foot pedal operation means users never need to touch the bin with their hands making it easier to scrape waste directly into the bin. As an optional precaution for the health industry, SteriBin is also protected with Biomaster technology to provide an extra barrier against growth of harmful bacteria such as E.coli, Listeria and MRSA.
When Biomaster is added to a product it prevents bacteria from multiplying on its surface. Any bacteria landing on a Biomaster protected surface is unable to replicate itself and therefore it dies. Biomaster technology works 24 hours a day to prevent the growth of microbes and lasts for the lifetime of the product.
SteriBin can collect up to three different waste streams such as landfill waste, food waste and mixed recyclables in a compact 90 litre unit.
