Muraspec launches Biomaster wallcoverings

The Kent company, which manufactures a wide selection of inspiring designs in high quality, fire-rated wallcoverings, supplies a worldwide client base across the hospitality, healthcare, high street retail, commercial, cruise ship and residential sectors.

Muraspec’s new antimicrobial range can now make a significant contribution to improved infection control within healthcare, education and high traffic public environments.

The new range of wallcoverings launched at the NEC, Birmingham last week. Most Muraspec wallcoverings already had a coating protecting the products against the growth of moulds and fungi, but the new Biomaster technology also ensures that harmful bacteria will not be able to survive on their products either.

Biomaster is effective against most common types of bacteria and works 24/7 for the lifetime of the product.

Initially applied to the Elan range of Type 2, 20oz. vinyls, woven and non-woven, Biomaster can be applied to a broader range of products, as a ‘special’.

Brand Manager Karen Moule explains, “This is a real boost for our clients in healthcare, education and environments with high footfall. We feel this will be of additional benefit to them in their fight to keep interior environments as safe and clean for users, as possible.”
