POS displays with Biomaster technology in demand in high street

Britain’s top high street names are racing to use Biomaster protected merchandising display units to help reduce cross-contamination on frequently touched surfaces during the coronavirus pandemic.

Leicestershire-based point-of-sale and visual merchandising display specialist SDi Displays is now providing several leading retail outlets with bespoke units containing inbuilt Biomaster technology providing an additional antimicrobial barrier to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. 

Biomaster is effective 24/7 and lasts for the entire life cycle of the unit.

SDi has also manufactured 260,000 face guards for use by retail staff, along with more than 10,000 pharmacy and checkout protective screens. The company has also produced 1,500 in-store hand sanitiser stations. other retail partners.

SDi is also in the process of supplying 1.6 million visors to the NHS.

Retail sales director Matt Evans explains: “We have always been a close partner to the retail sector and have been in constant discussions with them during the pandemic.

Our specialist designers and production experts came up with a range of hygiene products that could solve some of these challenges, starting with protective face guards and then quickly evolving into pharmacy checkout screens and hand sanitiser stations.

There is definitely a feeling that more businesses are starting to make plans about how they reopen when the lockdown eventually eases and hygiene will be at the forefront of their thoughts.”
