Priorclave helps improve lab hygiene

Microbial contamination is one of the most common problems encountered in laboratories, occasionally with serious consequences.

Modern laboratories are busy environments with personnel sharing equipment that may be near high-traffic areas and busy instruments.

Priorclave is the UK’s leading manufacturer of autoclaves, pressure chambers used to sterilise equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam.

The company’s equipment is used extensively in laboratories in educational institutions, manufacturing, government facilities and in the specialised needs of the life sciences and food and beverage industries.

For example, one of their most popular models is the RSC 350 laboratory autoclave. With a 350-litre rectangular chamber, it has a number of advanced features that make it a popular choice for laboratories working in the food and drink, dairy, pharmaceutical, agriculture, education, healthcare and research sectors looking to achieve high-throughput sterilising procedures or have a requirement to process large bulky items.

As with all Priorclave autoclaves, the RSC 350 also benefits from Biomaster technology. It has a tough epoxy finish proven to reduce bacterial surface growth 24/7 for the lifetime of the unit.

Biomaster technology is highly effective against most common bacteria including MRSA, E.Coli, Listeria, Legionella, Campylobacter and Salmonella.

It makes the surfaces of equipment cleaner, more hygienic and provides durable protection against contamination.

Priorclave Sales Director Lee Oakley explains: “It’s very difficult to sterilise a large autoclave on the outside and Biomaster helps us stop the cross contamination.

We like the fact that we give the customer added value with our products and are very happy to work with Addmaster.”
