Eco innovators Remarkable have announced the addition of antimicrobial properties to their recycled pencils, adding yet another USP to their already pioneering range.
Remarkable, the highly successful recycling company led by businessman and philanthropist Ed Douglas Miller, produce funky fun products ranging from umbrellas made from recycled PET to mouse mats created from discarded rubber tyres and school rulers fashioned from corn starch. The pencils, which are made from landfill waste and plastic, continue the company’s long-standing commitment to pioneering innovation and come with built-in Biomaster Protection. “Remarkable has incorporated Biomaster, a leading antimicrobial silver ion technology, to develop a world class product,” says Ed. “A product fit for purpose and with huge benefit.” Biomaster is a safe, effective and permanent antimicrobial additive based on silver ion technology. The Biomaster Protected pencils have been independently tested to ISO 22196:2011 and have been proven to reduce the growth of bacteria by over 99%.
