UAP partners Biomaster for maximum security

UAP Limited, the household name in door and window security supplies, is using Biomaster antibacterial technology to protect their range of child safety devices.

UAP was established in 1996 and manufactures high quality door hardware and window security apparatus, key cutting machines and specialised locksmith tools. It has over 1,500 product lines in stock including door viewers, knockers and letters as well as numerals, closers, chains and cabin hooks.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents estimates that around 4,000 children a year fall from unsecured windows. About half of these accidents involve children under 5 years old. In the majority of cases, injuries can easily be prevented.

A small but effective solution is the UAP window restrictor. This enables the windows to be opened enough to allow sufficient ventilation but not enough for someone to fall out.  A key is also provided so that the restrictor can be locked as required and also so the window can be fully opened when necessary.

The UAP window restrictor also has the benefit of Biomaster antibacterial technology to help keep families germ free in their home.

Bacteria that land on a Biomaster protected surface are unable to replicate and therefore they die. The technology works 24 hours a day to inhibit the growth of microbes for the lifetime of the product and is effective against most dangerous bugs including E.coli and MRSA.

David Jennings, Managing Director of UAP, explains: “Biomaster’s product philosophy is practically identical to our own, as they too concentrate on providing exceptional service every time.”

“Our window restrictors are of the very highest standard and so we wanted to ensure that they can not only withstand even the harshest environments, but also safeguard against infection.”
