The technology

Tested and certified: this stuff really works!

The main two technologies used in textile applications are Polygiene StayFreshTM, a fabric treatment which stops bacteria and microbes from growing, reducing nasty odors, and Polygiene OdorCrunchTM, a natural odor absorbing treatment that removes nasty smells like body odor, cooking fumes and smoke. For hard surfaces and high-frequency touch point in gyms or on sports equipment like weights, balls or mats – there’s Polygiene BioMasterTM which inhibits the growth of bacteria. They can be used together safely and highly effectively.
We’re accredited by bluesign, which promotes consumer safety, low impact manufacturing and responsible use of resources; Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport which supports responsible manufacturing and supply chains; and we have REACH compliance, the EU’s chemicals legislation. Polygiene have received several accolades from the Scandinavian Outdoor Group Awards.

The reasoning is straightforward: less smell means less washing, and less washing means products last longer so they don’t need to be replaced so frequently. Fewer, better garments is the outcome we all want. And because our technologies are added during the finishing stage, there’s no additional energy or water required during application, minimizing environmental impact during manufacture too.
