Benefits
Environments with high humidity and constantly exposed to water are at risk of promoting the growth of bacteria. Water supply lines and washrooms have many hiding places where bacteria can grow, causing the potential for illness and cross-contamination. Polygiene technology is ideally suited for use in washrooms, toilets, and changing rooms and can be applied to a wide range of products to stop bacteria in its tracks.
Whether it’s sanitary disposal units, sinks, toilets, or even plumbing and pipework, Polygiene technology can play a significant role in your hygiene regimen. Because it’s incorporated into the manufacturing process, Polygiene BioMaster™ inhibits the growth of bacteria on surfaces for the product’s lifetime. It’s simple, it’s permanent, and it delivers real results.
Almost any area involving water, whether drinkable or not, is hygiene-critical. Polygiene technologies give you a powerful weapon in the war against microbes and bacteria – and because they last for the lifetime of the product, they’re cost-effective too.

Polygiene technology can be added to existing surfaces or built into almost any product at the molecular level.
Tried and tested technology delivers 24/7 protection from bacterial growth.
Because they’re integral to the textile, Polygiene tech lasts for the lifetime of most products.
Concentrations of between 1-5% per batch make it a cost-effective choice.

The technology
Our industry-leading antimicrobial technology, Polygiene BioMaster, uses silver technology to prevent the growth of microbes, lowering the risk of contamination. It’s rapidly becoming a “must-have” in any hygiene-critical environment or on high-traffic touch points – with bathrooms, washrooms, kitchens, and toilets ticking both boxes. Water system filters, shower heads, and pipes can also become heavily loaded with microbes – as well as any drinking water applications, like bottles and hydration systems. We’re already in thousands of products where there can be no compromise on hygiene – are you in?
Because Polygiene BioMaster comes as a masterbatch in granule form, it can be introduced into polymers during the manufacturing process. And due to its resistance to the high temperatures used in polymer forming, the effectiveness of Polygiene BioMaster isn’t compromised. That means it can be applied to more ‘hidden’ problem areas such as pipes, filtration systems, and shower heads. Polygiene BioMaster can even be introduced into flooring products, including concrete, creating a safer, cleaner environment.
Polygiene technology has been extensively tested in independent laboratories, enabling us to back up our claims with hard science. Polygiene technology is ISO approved, a worldwide testing standard. We also have REACH accreditation, meaning our technology meets all current EU chemical production legislation. To ensure that your products meet the same standards, we can arrange for independent testing and provide free technical support.
Our driving principle is to create a more sustainable world. So we take our green credentials very seriously too. We are Oeko-Tex® Eco Passport accredited, demonstrating our commitment to consumer safety, sustainable and green production and manufacturing processes, and the responsible use of resources. We ensure all of our supply chain conforms to the same criteria, too, giving you total peace of mind that using Polygiene technology in your products won’t cost the earth.
“One of the reasons for developing the Dual Hydration System was to prevent contamination of hydration reservoirs from sticky sports drinks that end up being a breeding ground for bacteria and mould when not properly cleaned. When I discovered Biomaster during the development stage of the product I knew it was something we had to incorporate into our system. It was really a no-brainer as it’s pointless to simply migrate the cleaning effort to another piece of kit.” Andrew Davidson Director and Founder, Mix Innovations
“Biomaster has been a critical factor in Medi-Shower’s success within the Healthcare sector, but it is interesting to note that as new markets have opened for us outside Healthcare our customers demand for this high level of protection remains just as strong.” Christie Allen Managing Director
Thousands of products used in the Water sector are already embedded with Polygiene Technology, helping to create a more sustainable future – are you in?
