PGA Show 2026 Highlights, Idaho Backcountry Field Test & 20 Years of Polygiene

Following hot on the heels of the excellent PGA Show in Orlando, Florida, our February blog includes features on Polygiene’s participation in the world’s largest golf gathering and a round-up of the event itself. We also have a great trip report and gear review from Polygiene’s own Nick Brosnan, who has just returned from a wild adventure in the Idaho backcountry. There’s exciting news about Polygiene’s 20th birthday celebrations and details on our upcoming trade shows, too.

A PERFECT PGA SHOW (WITH ADDED FFF EXCITEMENT)

January saw the Polygiene Americas team head to Orlando, Florida, for the annual PGA Show. This year, the iconic golf gathering ran concurrently with the first-ever winter edition of the Functional Fabric Fair (FFF), ensuring attendees had plenty of opportunities to check out the latest developments in textile technology.

This year’s event was packed with big-name brands and spectacular stands, with everyone from Adidas and Nike to Yeti and J Lindeberg setting up shop and showcasing their latest products. While the PGA Show was abuzz with an estimated 35,000 visitors, the FFF also pulled in big crowds for its expert panels, discussions, and talks. This collaborative approach worked phenomenally well, with the PGA show offering plenty to please retail-focused attendees, and the FFF acting as an engaging and informative forum for designers and innovative textile manufacturers.

For Polygiene, the show was a resounding success, with a significant interest in our temperature-regulating Polygiene StayCool solution. Tying the FFF show to the sports-focused PGA event resulted in a greater focus on textile performance compared to other FFF events, but sustainability remained high on the agenda for many.

We’d like to say a big thank you to all who attended the show and visited the Polygiene booth. The weekend was packed with fascinating conversations and new opportunities, and we’re grateful to those who took the time to come and talk to us.

NICK’S IDAHO ADVENTURE & GEAR REVIEW

Polygiene’s Marketing Manager for the Americas, Nick Brosnan, recently headed out into Idaho’s glorious backcountry to test out a bunch of Polygiene-treated products on a six-day hunting trip. Wearing gear from some of the outdoor sector’s most respected brands, including Sitka, Stone Glacier, Pnuma, Sole, and Forloh, Nick spent a week putting Polygiene technology through its paces. Whitetail deer are renowned for their ability to pick up scents, and Nick’s tentmate has a pretty good nose, too, so it was a fantastic opportunity to see how our odor control performs in the field.

Find out how the gear held up in Nick’s excellent trip report.
