With the launch of our next-generation Polygiene® OdorCrunch2.0 technology, March has been a massive month for the Polygiene Team. We’re thrilled with the reception of our new solution, and we’re super excited about working with our partner brands to integrate it into their incredible textile products. This month also saw the team attend Performance Days Munich and the announcement that outdoor lifestyle brand 3BIRD will be integrating Polygiene® StayFresh and Polygiene® StayCool into several products in their Spring 26 collection. POLYGIENE LAUNCHES ODORCRUNCH2.0
A significant evolution in textile additive technology, our new OdorCrunch2.0 solution delivers enhanced odor protection without the use of heavy metals, PFAs, or nanotechnology. Building on the success of our original OdorCrunch solution, its highly effective odor capture technology seals, binds, and prevents the release of odorous molecules, so textiles smell fresher for longer. It’s also been optimized to protect a wider range of materials, including traditionally challenging fabrics, such as lightweight polyester.
Key Polygiene OdorCrunch2.0 features:
Engineered for modern textile production environments and easily integrated into standard textile finishing processes, including padding and exhaust application, Polygiene OdorCrunch2.0 functions without compromising fabric comfort, breathability, appearance, or performance.
You can learn more about the solution on the Polygiene OdorCrunch2.0 solution page. Alternatively, contact our experienced team to discuss how the technology can enhance your textile products.
ODORCRUNCH2.0 AWARDED FOR INNOVATION AT PERFORMANCE DAYS
With the launch of Polygiene® OdorCrunch2.0, the Polygiene Team has been raring to get out there and speak to manufacturers and mills about our new product. And what better place to do it than one of the world’s most influential textile trade shows – Performance Days Munich?
Running from March 17-19, Performance Days Munich attracted more than 3,300 trade visitors and 560 exhibitors. In doing so, the fair offered a unique insight into how the textile sector is innovating its way through key issues and challenges, including circularity, recycling, process efficiency, and upcoming regulatory requirements.
With a great booth location, the Polygiene team was in the perfect position to discuss OdorCrunch2.0 with representatives from a wide range of big-name brands and up-and-coming disruptors. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re looking forward to following up on many of the conversations we had over the weekend. Polygiene team members also participated in two well-received presentations in the tech hub. Our very own Eva Doll, Polygiene’s Brand Strategy Manager for EMEA, was involved in a fascinating round table on the strategic power of ingredient brands, too. You can listen back to the discussion via the Performance Days website.
Perhaps most excitingly, the Performance Days panel selected Polygiene OdorCrunch2.0 for display in this year’s Innovation Forum. Dedicated to showcasing industry’s most groundbreaking products and technologies, selection for the Innovation Forum is one of the trade show’s most prestigious accolades. With OdorCrunch2.0 picked out from more than 90 entrants, it’s a testament to the technology’s outstanding performance and considered design, and is a huge honor.
3BIRD LAUNCHES STAYCOOL-TREATED PRODUCTS
The Polygiene team is thrilled to announce that Wyoming-based apparel brand 3Bird will incorporate both Polygiene StayCool and Polygiene StayFresh treatments into a range of products as part of its Spring 26 collection. Manufacturing outdoor-oriented clothing that looks as incredible as it performs, 3Bird’s design philosophy is epitomized by its durable and versatile mantra.
Made for the mountains, rivers and rugged landscapes of one of the USA’s wildest states, the apparel also emphasizes sustainability – 3BIRD’s designers are driven by a desire to make clothes that not only feel good, but that we can feel good about. Which makes it a perfect match for Polygiene technology.
Polygiene StayCool’s thermo-reactive polymer matrix activates on contact with sweat to cool fabric by 2 – 3°C (4.3 – 5.4°F) and help users regulate their body temperature. Polygiene StayFresh provides advanced antibacterial odor control, preventing unpleasant smells from forming in textiles and keeping the wearer fresher for longer. Crucially, the technologies combine to reduce the need for frequent washing, reducing a product’s environmental footprint while also extending its expected lifespan. For those who eat, sleep, and breathe the great outdoors, the promise of clothing that keeps you cool and smelling fresh is difficult to resist.
The Polygiene-treated 3BIRD product range includes:
We’re looking forward to working closely with 3BIRD in the future and will be highlighting more of the brand’s work over the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled.
