Polygiene® is pleased to announce its new product partnership with Italian textile chemical innovators, Officina+39. The result of this exciting collaboration is the launch of Polygiene StayFresh™ combined Recycrom™ pigment powders. As well as all the benefits associated with Recycrom’s sustainable manufacturing processes and versatile application approaches, Polygiene StayFresh technology guarantees effective in-built antibacterial protection, reduces the need for washing, and keeps textiles fresher for longer.
Individually, each technology in the Polygiene x Officina+39 collaboration offers important benefits to consumers and manufacturers. However, together, the products deliver even greater value. By reducing the need for frequent washing, Polygiene StayFresh ensures Recycrom pigments maintain their strong and brilliant color for longer, extending product lifespan.
Combining the technologies also enables manufacturers to simplify the supply chain, minimizing their CO² footprint. At the same time, integrating both technologies into a textile product in a single application lowers energy and water requirements. The result is a high-performance, environmentally friendly textile dyeing technology that incorporates odor-control protection to provide additional value to consumers and reduce a product’s overall environmental impact post-purchase.
Manufactured from recycled textile fibers from pre-and post-consumer materials and upcycled into uniform powders, Recycrom pigments are a revolutionary development in dying technology. Capable of dying cotton, wool, nylon, natural fibers, and textile blends, it is a sustainable and environmentally friendly means of introducing color in the textile product manufacturing process.
The Polygiene StayFresh solution utilizes silver ion technology to disrupt and inhibit bacterial growth in textiles. As bacteria are one of the principal causes of unpleasant odors in fabrics, this keeps garments and other textile products odor-free and fresher for longer. It also enables consumers to wash their textiles less frequently, reducing energy and resource consumption and preventing premature damage and degradation caused by the washing process. Polygiene StayFresh is OEKO-TEX® and bluesign® certified.
