Polygiene x SERYT – Next-Level Fresher-For-Longer Protection

Now and again, a new brand comes along and shakes up a settled market with innovative & smart ideas as well product improving designs. In the sports & bike protection sector, that business is the Italian newcomer SERYT. With the release of its Flow Knee Pads, SERYT has cleverly changed the way we think about sports protection by eliminating uncomfortable seams, emphasizing sustainability, and ensuring aesthetics are just as carefully considered as every other aspect of design. Of course, the product also features Polygiene StayFresh™, further adding to its appeal and performance.

We spoke to Vittorio Gambirasio, SERYT’s Co-founder, to learn more about this fascinating brand and product. Take it away, Vittorio…

SERYT started with a market opportunity, a big dream and lots of hard work…

We founded SERYT with a clear mission – to create the coolest sports protection gear while upholding the highest performance and safety standards. Many brands offer sports protection as part of a broader product range, but very few companies focus exclusively on protection.

Recognizing this market opportunity, we began turning our vision into a reality. We developed our initial prototype in September 2021. Since then, we’ve dedicated significant time to testing, refining, and perfecting it. Today, we’re proud to present our product to the market, confident that it strikes the perfect balance between protection, comfort, breathability, and style.

An unwavering commitment to innovation sets SERYT apart…

At SERYT, we are driven by a desire to innovate. While other sports sectors regularly develop new designs and products, that hasn’t happened in the sports protection market. Until now.

Just look at the SERYT Flow Knee Pads. They are the first completely seamless protection product for cyclists on the market, ensuring maximum comfort and offering a totally unique second-skin feel. We achieved this by injecting CE-certified (EN 1621.1) protective padding directly into the fabric. Unlike other protection products, which are designed for use in temperatures above 0°C, SERYT protection is tested and certified for use in temperatures as low as -20°C. It makes them a great option for skiers and snowboarders too.

It’s this kind of design innovation that sets SERYT apart. We’re not content selling the same old sports protection products in updated packaging. We want to fundamentally change the way we design and develop sports protection.

Despite being a young brand, we have strong partnerships across many EU and non-EU countries. We also have a significant presence in the Swiss, Austrian, Finnish, Italy, French, Australian, and Chinese markets, among others. Looking ahead, we plan to launch an Elbow and Youth product line by mid-next year. Young rider safety is clearly a top priority, and the youth segment is the fastest-growing in protection, so we’re committed to investing in this area. Keep your eyes peeled!
