Polygiene 2025 Highlights: Innovation, Events & What’s Next

As the holiday season approaches and 2025 draws to a close, we often spend a little time reflecting on the 12 months gone by and looking forward to the year ahead. This year’s been a pretty huge one for Polygiene, with new product launches, a calendar packed with buzzing textile trade shows, interesting collaborations with partners old and new, and some amazing adventures and achievements by Polygiene ambassadors.

With this in mind, we wanted to dedicate this month’s newsletter to recapping some of our 2025 highlights and offering a quick insight into what we’ll be up to in 2026.

FROM KEEP FRESH TO STAYCOOL

The launch of our new thermo-regulatory textile technology definitely proved to be one of the defining moments of 2025. Polygiene® StayCool marks a big step forward in textile performance technologies, and we’re extremely proud of the results. Enhancing moisture-wicking capabilities is one thing. But the technology’s moisture-activated thermo-reactive polymer matrix is a whole other level of cool. We’re super excited to see Polygiene StayCool incorporated into more products and for users to experience the fabric-cooling technology first-hand.

AWESOME AMBASSADOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Another major 2025 highlight for all of us at Polygiene was following Polygiene Ambassador, Sarahann, on her Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) hiking adventure. Equipped with Polygiene-treated gear and apparel, Sarahann completed the second half of the route, trekking more than 1,600 miles of US wilderness and documenting her trip as she went.

It was great seeing Polygiene-treated gear put through its paces and incredible keeping up with the breathtaking landscapes and natural environments Sarahann passed through. If you missed it the first time round, we highly recommend checking out Sarahann’s brilliant interview for an insight into what trekking the PCT is really like.

POLYGIENE REPRESENTS AT GLOBAL EVENTS

The Polygiene team attended and supported so many events this year that it’s difficult to keep track. However, a few really stood out. We certainly won’t forget the Mt. Fuji 100 trail running event in a hurry. Along with The North Face, GORE-TEX, Fujikyo Group, and Amino Vital, Polygiene sponsored and helped organize Japan’s toughest ultramarathon. It was both a pleasure and a privilege to be part of such a positive and prestigious event.

The Red Bull Wings For Life Fundraiser also showed just how willing the Polygiene team is to slip on their running shoes for a good cause. Six Polygiene employees and several of our Storm Care Solutions partners participated in the 2025 edition, with the world’s largest running event raising a phenomenal $9.6 million for research into spinal cord injuries and potential cures.

Polygiene’s support for the excellent Best Day Ever documentary was also a proud moment. Following adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi, as well as the creation of the world’s first fully adaptive trail network, the documentary is a fantastic piece of filmmaking and an inspiring exploration of what outdoor communities can be and achieve.

COLLABORATING CLOSELY WITH POLYGIENE PARTNERS

In 2025, we made a concerted effort to highlight more of the outstanding work being done by Polygiene partners around the world. It’s led to some fascinating conversations and interviews, a few of which we’re going to highlight here.

German bike brand CUBE kicked things off with a fascinating discussion on the design process for its MTB products, before the innovative golf brand, Bunker Mentality, gave us an insight into its forward-thinking manufacturing model. The Italian outdoor brand Karpos told us how the majestic Dolomites influence its design philosophy and is the perfect testing ground for Polygiene-treated products.

Finally, Polygiene’s Marketing Manager Americas, Nick Brosnan, paid a visit to one of our most exciting US customers – ORIGIN USA. ORIGIN was kind enough to give Nick and his family a tour of the brand’s mill, and Nick’s write-up is a great read.

UPCOMING EVENTS IN 2026

For us at Polygiene, 2025 was also the year of the trade show and textile event. We went everywhere – visiting Functional Fabric Fair Portland in Oregon, Performance Days Munich in Germany, and everything in between. 2026 is shaping up to be just as busy. So before we leave you, here’s a quick rundown of the events you can expect to see Polygiene exhibiting at.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, ALL!

From all of us at Polygiene, we would like to say a big thank you to all our partners, collaborators, and end-users for a fantastic 2025. Here’s to an equally excellent 2026. Enjoy the holidays, and we’ll see you in the New Year!
