The Post-SHOT Show Recap

Having just returned from the excellent 2025 SHOT Show, the Polygiene Team is super-excited to update readers on how the enormously influential shooting, hunting, and outdoor trade show went. With more than 55,000 attendees, it was an enormous year for the show and there was a fantastic buzz and a brilliant atmosphere down in Las Vegas.

The size and growth of the show should come as no real surprise, though. The fishing and hunting category is a multi-billion dollar industry. In 2022 alone, Americans spent more than USD 394 billion on fishing, hunting, and outdoor clothing and equipment.

Polygiene and the outdoor sector

For Polygiene, the market presents a significant opportunity. Our odor-control technology is perfect for hunters wanting to mask their scent, multi-day trekkers who pack light, and anglers who spend all day out in the sun and don’t want to have to change their shirts before they head to the bar to grab a celebratory drink.

And our growth reflects that. We’re continuing to partner with best-in-class brands in the outdoor and hunting industry, including Sitka, Stone Glacier, Forloh, Kings Camo, and Pnuma, to name just a few. Consumer awareness at the retail level is also growing as we connect with new ambassadors and content creators to showcase Polygiene technology in action.

Polygiene technologies outperform the rest

Perhaps most importantly, feedback from avid users shows that combining Polygiene StayFresh™ and Polygiene OdorCrunch™ for 365-degree total freshness protection provides the best odor control on the market and delivers incredible results in the field. We’re immensely proud of that.

But that’s enough about us. We caught up with a few Polygiene partners while at the SHOT Show and asked them about their Las Vegas experience and whether they had any feedback about the Polygiene technology their products employ.

Take it away, Carlos and Lyle!

Carlos Goday, CEO, General Tactic

Sharing the Polygiene booth was an incredible opportunity to engage with American customers, particularly American law enforcement officers themselves. These professionals face unpredictable challenges every day and require the very best from their equipment. Their feedback reinforced our belief that performance, comfort, and reliability are non-negotiable.

At General Tactic, we’re not just selling uniforms. Thanks to our unique design and Polygiene technology, we’re delivering a solution that helps frontline emergency heroes stay fresh, focused, and ready for whatever their shift may bring. The SHOT show brought that home and showed that, in a world where time is scarce, expectations are high, and convenience is key, our uniforms make a big difference to those who serve and protect.

Anytime you introduce a technology that shares much of your brand’s ethos and approach, it works really well. And that’s how it’s been with Polygiene. The technology is such a great addition to our high-performance products. If you are trying to control odor, which we always are as hunters, it’s difficult to look past Polygiene-treated technology. It makes that much of a difference.
