Visting Polygiene Partners and Supporting Athletes

From factory visits to US-based manufacturers to exciting collaborations with Japanese partners, it’s been all-hands-on-deck at Polygiene HQ. Here’s what we’ve been up to over the last month.

ORIGIN – VISITING A US CLOTHING BRAND WITH A BIG VISION

Towards the tail end of last year, Polygiene’s Marketing Manager Americas, Nick Brosnan, paid a visit to one of our most exciting US customers – ORIGIN USA. The brand was generous enough to give Nick’s entire family a tour of its manufacturing plant, including the restored loom that inspired the whole project.

Founded in 2011, with the aim of reinvigorating the small but mighty Maine community in which it is based, ORIGIN is a unique proposition – a US company that is bringing manufacturing back to home shores. In doing so, it’s creating a sense of community that was sorely lacking.

Reflecting on the experience, Nick has written a fascinating and personal piece about visiting ORIGIN and how that experience made him reflect on the way our connection to clothing and the people who sell it has changed over the last few decades.

TAKEO KIKUCHI – SUMMER CAMPAIGN IN JAPAN

After last year’s hugely successful efforts, Polygiene launched a new 2025 summer campaign with our long-time partner Takeo Kikuchi at the brand’s flagship store. A big attraction for locals and tourists alike, the store is situated in Omotesando, one of Tokyo’s most stylish neighborhoods.

This year’s theme was inspired by the traditional Japanese uchiwa (hand fan), ensuring the prominent window display benefits from an authentic local touch. Using the space available, we highlighted the benefits of Polygiene-treated items in four languages, maximizing messaging reach and matching the display to the area’s diverse demographic.

Takeo Kikuchi is a renowned Japanese brand that is highly respected and recognized for its high-quality designs, meticulous attention to detail, and stylish aesthetic. Many of the brand’s products now also benefit from Polygiene Freshness protection, so users benefit from confidence-inspiring odor-control technology, too.

A POLYGIENE AMBASSADOR ON THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL

One of our newest Polygiene ambassadors, Sarahann Yeh, is trekking the Pacific Crest Trail and completing her third “Long Ass Section Hike” (LASH) on the iconic route. She’ll be out on the trail for approximately two months and will be posting regular updates on her Insta along the way.

Selected by our team to test Polygiene-treated gear out in the field, Sarahann has been supplied with a selection of top outdoor clothing and equipment from a range of Polygiene partners. This includes:

Having tested the items on a preparatory four-day hike in the Sierra, Sarahann had some fantastic initial feedback.

The gear is great, and I’m super excited to bring it on the PCT. The Montane hoodie was a real standout. Despite wearing it daily (and over my sweaty clothes), it stayed odor-free, cozy, and kept me warm at over 12,000 ft elevation. When everything else went straight into the washer after the hike, the hoodie was still super fresh, and I was happy popping it into my day bag for additional use.

We look forward to providing support throughout the hike and sharing regular updates. Enjoy the experience, Sarahann!

FUNCTIONAL FABRIC FAIR NEW YORK

We also wanted to use the opportunity to highlight the upcoming New York Functional Fabric Fair (FFF). Running from July 21-23, the hugely influential trade event showcases the latest in textile innovation, and Polygiene will be at the Javits Center at Booth #103 for the entire three days.

We’ll be demoing all the Polygiene product range, including our new StayCool by Polygiene™ cooling technology, so make sure you drop by. We would love to speak to new faces, spend time with prospective customers, and catch up with established partners.
